Henriette Abrahams is the chairperson of the Bonteheuwel Development Forum working on issues around safety, health, and food security. Henriette is an activist with over 30 years of experience in the NGO sector.
Henriette has been an activist for the past 30 years and has worked in various NGOs
including farm worker communities. She shifted her focus and is working in her poverty stricken and crime ravaged community for the past three years building street and block committees in an attempt to build people's power where communities take ownership of their area and build safe, healthy and prosperous communities. Her organization is working around issues of safety, health and food security.
